Background & Problem

Spray Date is a well established Swedish dating site founded in 1999. It has a good reputation amongst users and a strong brand name. However, the manual image moderation process is currently outsourced, the upshot of this being that there are inconsistencies in the types of images that are published on the site. Furthermore, it can take up to 30 hours for a user to learn that an uploaded image has not been approved, just long enough for them to move to a different dating site. And, with around 35% of images not meeting site criteria, it adds up to a lot of potential customers using other sites.

Solution

In order to reduce the length of time of the image rejection process, Spray Date compared several different options, before concluding that the AIR service offered by Oculusai was by far the best option available. Not only was it the only market ready solution, but it also included several extra features. Spray Date currently use AIR in combination with manual moderation. They filter all new user images to ensure that they meet requirements, i.e. that they are head shots of humans with clearly visible facial features. Once AIR approves an image it is then forwarded to the manual moderation team for final approval.
