OculusAI is a Computer Vision company that provides State-of-the-Art Image Recognition Technology services for various online businesses:
Visually Similar Product Recommendation "ViSPR" is an easy to integrate SaaS-solution for online retailers. The service simplifies product search for customers by recommending visually similar products.
OculusAI also provides Automated Content Recognition, Moderation and Analysis. This can be used in a variety of applications including: Measuring Brand Exposure using "AdTrackr" a Ad/logo tracking service for printed media.
The services include Automated Image Rejection "Air" a moderation service for online dating sites that also includes recognition / tagging of faces and other objects in images.

Siamak Ayani - CEO & Co-Founder»

Siamak.jpgPrior to co-founding OculusAI, Mr Ayani worked at Deutsche Bank, London and Procter & Gamble, Stockholm. He obtained his M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm and at UC Berkeley in California. With training & experience in engineering, investment and administration, Mr Ayani has headed OculusAI since its founding in 2008 and has guided the company through various rounds of financing and different stages of development over the years.

Babak Rasolzadeh - CTO & Co-Founder »

babak.jpg Dr. Rasolzadeh has been working with different AI solutions for the past 7 years. During this time he has been involved in several ground breaking projects in Sweden and Australia. This includes co-developing the intelligent job search engine Workey and the SmartCars project in Australia. Dr. Rasolzadeh holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering and a PhD in Computer Vision from the Royal Institute of Technology.

Apart from co-founding OculusAI, Mr Ataei has 5 years of international sales and marketing experience within different online segments. He has worked at the Sales & Marketing department at Avanza Bank and as Business Development Director for Southern Europe at Admeta. Mr Ataei has studied Business at the Stockholm University School of Business and at the University of Technology, Sydney.

Thorbiörn Fritzon – VP Engineering »

Mr. Fritzon, a regular on Sweden's top developers list, has over two decades of experience in systems and software development. As an expert on large-scale and distributed systems, he served as chief architect on a large number of different applications in a number of industries. Before joining OculusAI, he worked for 11 years at Sun Microsystems, most recently as Lead Technologist in the Nordics, focusing on massively distributed systems and spontaneous networks. Mr Fritzon also writes books and is a sought-after speaker in conferences and seminars.

Andrzej Pronobis – Head of Research »

Dr. Pronobis obtained his PhD in Computer Vision and Robotics from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Over the past six years, he has been designing and building real-time robotic systems based on advanced AI solutions and is an author of over 30 publications in top-level journals and conferences in the field. Being involved in several EU research initiatives and supervising many research projects, Dr. Pronobis gained extensive experience as a research leader.

Mr Klaesson is a senior executive with 14 years of General Management, Strategy, Business Development, Entrepreneurial and Marketing expertise across varied industries ranging from telecommunication, i-gaming to online dating and digital media. Mr Klaesson has held senior management positions at the Modern Times Group (MTG) and the Tiscali Group in Scandinavia, Benelux and Italy where he headed the group's Internet Services strategy. He was also the acting COO of the Meetic Group, where he built the Dutch and the Nordic operations. Most recently, Mr Klaesson acted as the CEO for Admeta AB where he rolled out the company in Europe.

In the last ten years, Mr Brandels has helped develop 20 new export oriented technology companies by working on everything from financing to sales as a business coach at Stockholm Innovation & Growth. He has more than fifteen years of experience in sales. He has been the Marketing&Sales Director at a large American IT firm, Digital Equipment(Nordic) today Compaq/HP. In the media industry, Bonnier Group, Mr Brandels has founded, bought and sold companies and has experience as CEO (Findata, Marieberg Multi Media) and Board Member (Brainglass, OculusAI, Opticaller, Afokus). At the beginning of 2000, he was the CEO of a venture capital company, Startupfactory. He has also worked a great deal with product development (pioneer work with minicomputers, office software, PC's, services/content on the internet and IP telephony). He has global experience from the position as Director at Ericsson Enterprise.

Johan.jpgMr Palmstierna is a former partner of Goldman, Sachs & Co and ABG Sundal Collier. Over the years he has held the position of Director in a number of diverse companies. Today he is the Chairman of the Board for Valbay International S.A., Momail AB, Qbrick AB, Accumulate UK, Wemind AB, Panopticon AB and MyFc AB. Furthermore, he is also a member of the Board in Elekta AB, Bluefish Pharmaceutical AB, Natural Fragrances of Sweden AB, Constellation Group AB, Chinsay AB, Peepoople AB and Byredo AB, among others.
